A prestigious global food manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Factory Technical Manager. This key leadership position provides technical direction across the site, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, legality, and customer compliance are achieved and maintained.
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day technical leadership across the manufacturing site.
- Ensuring compliance with all food safety, legal, quality and customer requirements.
- Leading, coaching and developing the Technical and Quality teams.
- Managing and maintaining the site's HACCP system.
- Ensuring CCPs, CPs and associated monitoring systems are effectively controlled and verified.
- Leading investigations into food safety incidents, quality deviations and potential contamination risks.
- Driving continuous improvement within the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Maintaining product specifications, procedures, work instructions and quality standards.
- Managing customer technical queries, complaints and requests within agreed service levels.
- Overseeing allergen management processes.
- Ensuring the site remains in a state of continuous audit readiness.
- Supporting operational teams to deliver quality, compliance and continuous improvement objectives.
- Monitoring technical KPIs and implementing corrective and preventative actions where required.
About You
- Proven experience in a Factory Technical Manager, Technical Manager, Quality Manager or similar senior technical leadership role within food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety legislation, quality systems and customer standards.
- Experience leading technical teams and developing high-performance cultures.
- Excellent audit management experience, including BRCGS and customer audits.
- Strong understanding of allergen management and risk mitigation.
- Experience investigating food safety incidents and implementing corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
