We’re looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and commercially astute team player with an affinity for business and communications to join our Capital Markets division as a Senior Account Manager. This role is split approximately 75% Capital Markets and 25% Financial Services corporate clients. You will support communications programmes for UK listed companies, including The Gym Group Plc, Fuller, Smith & Turner Plc and McBride Plc, in a fast‑paced environment where accuracy, judgement and responsiveness are essential.
You’ll be bright and energetic, able to hit the ground running, and bring the resilience and gravitas needed to support clients and collaborate confidently with the wider team. The role is hands‑on and varied, with frequent client contact, involvement in new business activity, and responsibility for supporting events, marketing and integrated communications programmes. Flexibility is important, as public company timelines can require occasional early mornings, late evenings or weekend support.
Our Senior Account Managers are ambitious and proactive. They deliver business impact through a strong understanding of the industries and stakeholder environments in which clients operate. In this position, you’ll work predominantly on Capital Markets accounts while also supporting Financial Services corporate clients. You will help ensure programmes run smoothly and to an exceptionally high standard, with a particular focus on accuracy, attention to detail and meticulous planning. You will be confident operating in the City environment and comfortable working at pace in a listed‑company context. This means being able to prioritise quickly, remain calm under pressure and make clients feel like they are your only client especially around results periods, fast‑moving news cycles and other market‑sensitive moments.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- You will support day‑to‑day delivery across a portfolio of accounts, maintaining regular client contact and helping manage relationships appropriately.
- A key part of the role is drafting high‑quality, audience‑appropriate written materials—such as press releases, statements, Q&As, messaging and briefing notes that require minimal input from senior team members.
- You’ll also help drive and coordinate media and analyst relations activity, building confidence engaging with City journalists and the analyst community.
- You will support and help manage RNS‑related announcements and approval processes, demonstrating strong judgement around sensitive news and knowing when and how to elevate issues.
- Alongside client delivery, you will contribute to events and integrated programmes, support new business activity when required.
What we’re looking for:
- We’re looking for someone with 5+ years’ communications experience, ideally gained within financial communications / financial PR, with demonstrable exposure to Capital Markets work.
- You’ll have an interest in the City and listed‑company communications, a strong understanding of the media landscape, and excellent writing skills with outstanding attention to detail and numeracy.
- You’ll be organised, proactive and responsive, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
- You will also be comfortable with occasional out‑of‑hours work as and when required by public company timelines.
- Experience delivering financial calendar programmes (results, trading updates, AGMs, CMDs), supporting transactions (IPOs, M&A, fundraising), developing knowledge of regulatory best practice, or using tools such as Bloomberg is advantageous, but not essential.
