About the Role
We’re hiring for a Software Engineer (.Net/AWS) to join a leading financial services company. This role is key in designing and developing cloud-native applications, with a strong focus on .NET C# back-end services, AWS cloud infrastructure, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You’ll work in a collaborative, agile environment, driving modernisation and transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain back-end services and APIs in .NET C#, using a cloud-first approach.
- Ensure high-quality code through automated testing and unit testing frameworks.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with AWS CDK (Python preferred).
- Work with containerisation tools (Docker, Kubernetes) to deploy and manage applications.
- Collaborate with BAs, QAs, and PMs to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimise business disruption.
- Contribute to the modernisation of the tech landscape and drive transformation initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in the finance sector.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services and hands-on experience with IaC (AWS CDK, Terraform, etc.).
- Proficiency in automated testing frameworks and unit testing best practices.
- Expertise in containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native development.
- Experience working in agile environments with an agile mindset.
- Strong grasp of database design (SQL & NoSQL) and parallel computing.
- Familiarity with Git for version control and JIRA for backlog management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills—both written and verbal.
