Senior Sous Chef – Kia Oval, London – Full-time / Permanent

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Sous Chef to join the collaborative culinary team at the iconic international cricket ground, The Kia Oval. As a Senior Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality dishes during cricket events, including county matches, hundreds, international’s and T20s.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, particularly on match days.
- Prepare and present high-quality food to agreed recipes, presentation standards, and service times.
- Supervise, motivate, and develop junior chefs and kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and high performance.
- Assist with menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal produce, dietary requirements, and innovative ideas.
- Manage stock, ordering, deliveries, and inventory to minimise waste and maintain cost control.
- Monitor food quality, consistency, and presentation, ensuring all dishes meet company standards.
- Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness standards across all kitchen areas.
- Coordinate kitchen operations with hospitality and event teams to deliver exceptional service for players, staff, and guests.
- Handle food costing, stock records, and wastage controls in line with company procedures and budget expectations.
