We're looking for a Head Barista to lead the coffee and barista function at The Conduit – one of London’s leading private members’ clubs. You will be responsible for ensuring consistently high-quality beverages, strong service standards and an engaging guest experience. This is a hands‑on leadership role, where you will take ownership of the barista station during service, support and develop the team, and champion a coffee offering that reflects quality, craft and attention to detail.

Birchwood at The Conduit is a brand-new café and wine bar that will bring a fresh, ingredient-led approach rooted in seasonality and sustainable sourcing. Expect bold, thoughtful dishes and a space designed for connection in the heart of Covent Garden.

Head Barista – The Role

  • Lead the barista station to ensure smooth, efficient service
  • Maintain high standards in coffee quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Support front‑of‑house operations and enhance the overall guest experience
  • Demonstrate strong coffee knowledge, including beans, brewing, and equipment
  • Contribute to seasonal and evolving beverage offerings, including non‑alcoholic options
  • Deliver warm, engaging service and confidently recommend drinks to guests
  • Build rapport with guests and create a welcoming environment
  • Supervise, train, and support barista and front‑of‑house team members
  • Oversee barista station setup, cleanliness, stock control, and equipment maintenance
  • Uphold health, safety, hygiene, and company standards while fostering a positive team culture
