Overall Purpose of the Role

To drive race day and non-race day revenue by securing new meetings and events business and growing existing key accounts, in line with the sales and marketing plan. The role operates in a fast-paced hospitality environment and reports to the Sales & Events Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively source and secure new meetings and events business
  • Grow and manage allocated key accounts
  • Achieve monthly sales targets and KPIs
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contracting
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, invoices, and follow up on payments
  • Attend networking and trade events when required
  • Maintain accurate records using Salesforce/Delphi

Event Management

  • Deliver events from enquiry to completion and post-event follow up
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery
  • Manage diaries, event briefs, BEOs, deposits, and billing
  • Support the wider sales team with event administration

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in hospitality sales or events (venue, hotel, or agency)
  • Commercially aware, proactive, and results driven
  • Strong communication, organisation, and planning skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy environment
  • Customer-focused with strong attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Delphi desirable)
  • Experience in a proactive sales role
  • Flexible to work 5 days over 7
  • Full, clean driving licence and ability to travel between venues
