Guest Relations Manager – Lasdun | National Theatre
£42,000 per annum (£32k basic + £10k TRONC) plus benefits

Purpose of Guest Reservations Manager Role:
As Guest Relations Manager, you will embody the elegance and refinement of our Lasdun Restaurant curating exceptional dining experiences that reflect the highest standards of hospitality. You will oversee the seamless operation of our restaurant, from managing reservations and coordinating with the culinary team, to leading a dedicated service team in delivering flawless, discreet, and memorable service to our members and their guests. With service centred around intimate lunches of approximately 40 covers and refined dinners of around 30 covers, this role offers the opportunity to create a truly elevated dining environment. This is a full-time position of 48 hours per week within a seven-day operation, requiring flexibility to support weekend service on approximately five occasions each month. Meals are provided while on duty.
Key Responsibilities – Guest Relations Manager:
- Deliver Unforgettable Hospitality – Champion a culture of excellence by ensuring every guest enjoys a warm, personalised, and seamless dining experience.
- Inspire & Lead the Team – Motivate, train, and support the service team, leading by example and empowering colleagues to perform at their very best.
- Master Reservation & Guest Flow – Oversee reservations and seating plans with precision, ensuring smooth service transitions and accommodating member preferences with ease.
- Be the Face of Guest Relations – Build genuine relationships with members, anticipating needs and handling special requests or concerns with discretion and professionalism.
- Own the Restaurant Floor – Direct floor operations during service, ensuring impeccable timing, flawless delivery, and a calm, polished atmosphere.
- Showcase Menu Expertise – Share deep knowledge of our menus and wine pairings, guiding members with confidence and tailoring recommendations to dietary requirements.
- Uphold the Highest Standards – Maintain immaculate presentation and cleanliness across all areas, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Bridge Front & Back of House – Work seamlessly with the kitchen, coordinating guest preferences and service timing to guarantee a flawless dining journey.
- Drive Operational Excellence – Support with essential administrative duties including scheduling, inventory, and reporting to keep operations efficient and accurate.
Requirements – Guest Relations Manager:
- Proven expertise gained in a luxury restaurant or private members’ club environment.
- Inspiring leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and bring out the best in a team.
- Exceptional people skills – a natural communicator who builds strong relationships with members and their guests.
- Tech-savvy and organised, confident with reservation management systems and comfortable using core IT tools.
