A leading marketing data company is seeking a highly technical Azure Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Cloud Project Manager to drive mission-critical Azure-focused cloud transformation and migration projects. You’ll play a pivotal role in leading complex infrastructure and data migrations, primarily within Azure, with exposure to AWS and GCP.
This role requires deep technical knowledge of Azure services, best practices, and architectures, combined with the ability to manage stakeholders and deliver cloud projects end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities- Azure Cloud Migration & Infrastructure
- Lead complex, large-scale Azure migrations, including tenant-to-tenant and hybrid environments.
- Drive cloud transformation initiatives with a focus on Azure best practices, scalability, and resilience.
- Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers to design secure, efficient Azure environments.
- Manage multi-cloud environments (Azure-first, with AWS/GCP exposure as needed).
- Data & Systems Integration
- Ensure smooth integration of data and systems during and after migrations.
- Oversee validation of ETL pipelines, data lakes, and analytics tools post-migration.
- Networking & Security
- Direct the design and implementation of Azure networking: VNets, ExpressRoute, NSGs, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Implement security best practices around IAM, RBAC, conditional access, and zero-trust architecture.
- Project & Stakeholder Management
- Own Agile delivery of cloud projects using tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence.
- Engage with cross-functional teams and cloud vendors, ensuring alignment, transparency, and timely delivery.
- Communicate risks, blockers, and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- 7+ years managing enterprise cloud/infrastructure/migration projects.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure – IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Solid understanding of AWS and GCP environments.
- Experience in networking, security, IAM, and FinOps/cloud cost optimization.
- Strong project delivery experience using Agile, Scrum, DevOps methodologies.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Bicep, and/or ARM templates.
- Azure certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-104, or AZ-400.
- Experience with serverless Azure services, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Background in data engineering, analytics platforms, or cloud-native app development is a plus.
