We’re seeking a skilled Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join our client's core infrastructure team working closely with engineering and support teams to deliver secure, high-performance systems.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and enhance a Linux platform supporting global trading operations
- Partner with application and support teams to ensure a secure, scalable infrastructure
- Design and implement automation frameworks and tooling
- Build out monitoring and observability solutions
- Investigate and optimise performance across systems, networks, and applications
- Support build and release processes
- Work within a source-controlled engineering environment
What you’ll bring:
- Deep Linux expertise (Red Hat–based systems preferred)
- Experience supporting large-scale and/or low-latency environments
- Strong background in automation and configuration management (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, Splunk)
- Exposure to build and release management pipelines
- Programming skills in Python and Bash (C/C++ advantageous)
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols (TCP/UDP, LAN/WAN, multicast)
- Proven ability to analyse and tune system performance
- Comfortable working in collaborative, version-controlled teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and clear communicator
