We’re working with a global financial services organisation undergoing a major technology transformation across its communications surveillance estate and they are looking for a Business Analyst to join them.
Overview
- You’ll support three key workstreams:
- Migration of e-communications data into AWS
- Data retention, purge and legal hold processes
- Case management and regulatory risk reduction
You’ll act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, risks are understood, and solutions deliver real value. The environment covers a wide range of communication channels including (but not limited to): Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE, Teams, Slack, Symphony, Skype, SMS, WhatsApp and WeChat.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering, validation and documentation across data integration, data retention and legal hold initiatives
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Compliance, Legal, Operations and Technology
- Work closely with DataOps and engineering teams to design secure, scalable data solutions
- Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements aligned with industry best practice
- Perform impact assessments, feasibility analysis and risk reviews
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership
- Stay up to date with regulatory and technology developments in communications surveillance
Qualifications
- Strong experience with business communications technologies (e.g. Bloomberg, ICE, Teams, WhatsApp for Business, Cloud9, BT Turrets, mobile voice, etc.)
- Proven background delivering data-driven projects (data integration, case management, data lifecycle management)
- Solid experience working with DataOps and technical delivery teams
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies (JIRA preferred)
- Excellent business analysis, process modelling and requirements gathering skills
- Experience working in regulated financial services environments
- Confident stakeholder manager with strong communication skills
- Proficient with analytics and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
- Passion for data, controls and best-in-class solutions
- Knowledge of trading platforms and market operations
