Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Relationship Manager to join its Corporate & Trade Banking team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of UK and international corporate clients, with a particular focus on trade finance, working capital and cross‑border banking solutions. The role requires a commercially driven banking professional with a strong track record in client acquisition, relationship management, trade finance origination and credit structuring.
Working closely with senior management and key internal stakeholders, the successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the continued growth of the Corporate & Trade Banking business.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop a portfolio of corporate clients engaged in international trade and cross‑border business activities.
- Originate new business opportunities and build long‑term client relationships across key industry sectors and trade corridors.
- Structure and deliver trade finance and working capital solutions, including letters of credit, guarantees, supply chain finance, receivables finance and other transactional banking products.
- Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through the cross‑sale of cash management, foreign exchange and other banking solutions.
- Prepare and present credit proposals, annual reviews and client recommendations in accordance with internal policies and risk frameworks.
- Monitor portfolio performance, client financials and market developments to identify risks and commercial opportunities.
- Work closely with Credit, Risk, Compliance, Operations and Treasury teams to ensure efficient transaction execution and high‑quality client service.
- Support cross‑border business initiatives and collaborate with international stakeholders to develop new business opportunities.
- Proven experience within Corporate Banking, Trade Finance, Transaction Banking or a related client‑facing banking environment.
- Demonstrable track record of managing and developing corporate client relationships and delivering sustainable revenue growth.
- Strong knowledge of trade finance products, including letters of credit, guarantees, supply chain finance, receivables finance and working capital solutions.
- Experience originating, structuring and executing corporate banking and trade finance transactions.
- Sound credit analysis and risk assessment capabilities, including the preparation and presentation of credit proposals.
- Excellent relationship management, business development and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, AML/KYC obligations and corporate banking governance standards.
- Experience working within an international banking environment would be highly advantageous.
