Overview

We are currently supporting the appointment of a Compliance Officer to join a growing compliance function within a regulated banking environment in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional with a strong generalist background to work across a broad range of regulatory, advisory, and governance activities. The role will suit someone who enjoys a hands-on position within a collaborative team, contributing to the ongoing development and maintenance of a robust compliance framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery and ongoing enhancement of the firm’s compliance framework
  • Conduct compliance monitoring and testing activities in line with the Compliance Monitoring Programme
  • Assist in the drafting, review, and implementation of compliance policies and procedures
  • Provide regulatory advice and guidance to internal stakeholders
  • Support horizon scanning and assess the impact of regulatory developments
  • Assist with the preparation of management information and reporting for senior stakeholders
  • Work closely with the business to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Contribute to ongoing compliance projects and initiatives

Candidate Profile

  • Experience within a generalist Compliance function (non-financial crime)
  • Background in a banking or regulated financial services environment
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulatory requirements and expectations
  • Experience in compliance monitoring, advisory, and/or policy development
  • Ability to interpret regulation and apply it in a practical, business-focused manner
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach
