Investigations Manager / Senior Manager – Remote Opportunity in London

Levitate Recruitment are currently working with an insolvency specialist who is looking to appoint an experienced Investigations Manager or Senior Manager to join its team on a remote basis.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with a contentious insolvency background who enjoys managing complex investigations and progressing cases with a good level of autonomy.

The role will involve managing and progressing a portfolio of approximately investigation cases, with a focus on compulsory liquidation matters.

Typical work will include investigations into:

Transactions at undervalue

Preferences

Directors’ loan accounts

Misfeasance

Fraudulent trading

Other contentious insolvency matters

The client is looking for someone who can take ownership of cases, review the facts, identify potential claims, liaise with key stakeholders and move matters forward in a commercial and organised manner.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

Managing a caseload of contentious insolvency investigations

Reviewing company records, conduct issues and potential antecedent transactions

Preparing investigation reports and recommendations

Progressing claims relating to preferences, transactions at undervalue, DLAs, misfeasance and fraudulent trading

Liaising with directors, creditors, solicitors and internal stakeholders

Ensuring cases are progressed efficiently and commercially

Supporting more junior members of the team where required

The Candidate

The successful candidate is likely to be operating at Manager or Senior Manager level within insolvency, restructuring or investigations.

You should have:

Strong experience in insolvency investigations

Exposure to compulsory liquidation cases

A good understanding of contentious insolvency matters

Experience dealing with antecedent transactions and director conduct issues

The ability to manage a caseload independently

Strong report writing and communication skills

A commercial approach to case progression

This role may suit someone currently working in an investigations-focused insolvency role, or an experienced corporate insolvency professional who has handled a strong volume of contentious matters and wants to specialise further.
