Workday Business Analyst - HCM, Financials & PSA

A leading data client is seeking 2x experienced Workday Business Analyst\'s to join their team and drive the optimization and enhancement of their Workday platform across Human Capital Management (HCM), Financials, and Professional Services Automation (PSA) modules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business processes and translate requirements into Workday system configurations across HCM, Financials, and PSA modules
  • Design and implement solutions that optimize organizational processes and enhance user experience
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders from HR, Finance, and Professional Services teams
  • Configure and maintain Workday functionality including business processes, security, reporting, and integrations
  • Develop comprehensive documentation including functional specifications, process flows, and user guides
  • Support testing activities including test script creation, execution, and defect management
  • Provide training and ongoing support to end users and super users
  • Stay current with Workday releases and assess impact on existing configurations
  • Collaborate with technical teams on integration requirements and system enhancements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize platform capabilities

Essential Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Workday Business Analyst or functional consultant
  • Deep expertise in Workday HCM modules (Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, etc.) OR
  • Strong working knowledge of Workday Financials (Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, etc.) OR
  • Proven experience with Workday PSA (Projects, Time Tracking, Resource Management, Billing)
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and document business requirements
  • Experience configuring Workday business processes, security, and calculated fields
  • Strong understanding of report writing using Workday Report Writer and/or dashboards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication skills with ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience supporting system testing and user acceptance testing phases

Desirable Skills

  • Workday Pro Certification in HCM, Financials, or PSA
  • Experience with Workday integrations (EIB, Studio, Core Connectors)
  • Knowledge of Workday Extend or Prism Analytics
  • Experience with full lifecycle Workday implementations
  • Understanding of HR, Finance, and Professional Services best practices
  • Previous experience in a consulting or client-facing role
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
