About the Role
We're looking for an experienced
Head of Programme Management to lead the successful delivery of major business transformation programmes within a large, complex organisation.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing complex change initiatives spanning technology, business operations, customer services and data.
You'll ensure programmes are effectively planned, governed and delivered, while leading a high-performing team of programme and project professionals.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll play a key role in shaping transformation delivery, driving continuous improvement and ensuring programmes achieve their intended business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Leadership
- Lead the delivery of large-scale transformation programmes from initiation through to successful completion.
- Ensure programmes align with organisational strategy and deliver agreed objectives.
- Oversee programme performance, risks, dependencies and delivery milestones.
- Remove barriers to delivery and resolve escalated issues.
- Team Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop Programme Managers, Project Managers, Change Managers and Project Support professionals.
- Build a high-performing, collaborative delivery function.
- Allocate resources effectively across multiple programmes and priorities.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
- Governance & Assurance
- Ensure programmes operate within established governance and assurance frameworks.
- Chair programme governance meetings and oversee stage-gate reviews.
- Review business cases, delivery plans and key programme documentation.
- Maintain high standards of quality, compliance and delivery assurance.
- Stakeholder Management
- Partner with senior executives, sponsors and business leaders to align priorities and delivery plans.
- Build strong relationships across business and technology functions.
- Communicate programme progress, risks and key decisions clearly and effectively.
- Influence stakeholders at all levels to support successful delivery.
- Financial & Resource Management
- Oversee programme budgets, forecasting and resource planning.
- Ensure business cases demonstrate clear value, costs and expected benefits.
- Track financial performance and benefits realisation throughout programme delivery.
- Risk & Performance
- Maintain oversight of programme risks, issues and interdependencies.
- Ensure effective reporting through governance forums and performance dashboards.
- Monitor programme health and drive timely resolution of delivery challenges.
- Maintain accurate programme documentation and reporting.
About You
You'll be an accomplished transformation leader with a proven track record of delivering complex programmes within large organisations.

- Experience using delivery and reporting tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Share Point and Power BI.
