We are seeking an experienced Senior Programme Manager to lead the delivery of strategic business change and transformation initiatives within a complex, fast-paced environment. This is a high-profile leadership role that combines hands-on programme delivery with the management and development of an established project management team. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering large-scale transformation programmes, ensuring strategic objectives are translated into successful business outcomes. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels—providing leadership across a portfolio of change initiatives while personally driving the delivery of critical programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a team of project management professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting ongoing capability development.
- Define, implement and continuously improve programme and project delivery frameworks, standards and governance processes.
- Shape, mobilise and deliver complex business change and transformation programmes from inception through to successful implementation.
- Establish appropriate governance structures, delivery plans, resource models and reporting mechanisms.
- Personally lead strategic transformation initiatives while providing oversight and assurance across a wider portfolio of projects.
- Support portfolio planning, prioritisation, risk management and delivery performance monitoring.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business, influencing decision-making and driving alignment.
- Provide clear and concise programme reporting, highlighting progress, dependencies, risks and resource requirements.
- Manage relationships with third-party suppliers, partners and external stakeholders where required.
About You
You will be an accomplished programme leader with a strong track record of delivering complex transformation initiatives and driving organisational change. Significant experience delivering large-scale business change and transformation programmes. Proven success leading complex programmes within professional services, corporate, financial services, legal, consulting or similarly fast-paced environments. Demonstrable experience managing and developing project management teams. Strong programme mobilisation experience, including governance design, planning, resource management and stakeholder engagement. Experience operating across multiple concurrent workstreams and managing competing priorities. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, including engagement with executive and senior leadership teams. Experience managing external vendors, implementation partners and third-party suppliers.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
Strong understanding of programme and project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall approaches. Ability to adapt delivery methodologies to suit varying business and stakeholder needs.
