A leading global manufacturing organisation is undertaking a major finance transformation to modernise its finance systems, streamline processes, and enhance decision-making capabilities across the business. They are seeking an experienced Finance Transformation Programme Manager to lead this critical change initiative.
Purpose of the Role
This role sits at the heart of the organisation's finance transformation agenda. The Programme Manager will drive the design and deliver optimal finance processes, data, and technology transformation initiatives centred around Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). They will be shaping decisions and driving direction as well as implementing change.
You will be the driving force behind implementing new finance systems and capabilities that will transform how the finance function operates, delivers insight, and supports the business. Working closely with the CFO and Finance Leadership team, you will shape and deliver programmes that modernise the finance operating model, improve efficiency, and enable better financial planning and analysis. The role requires someone who can bridge finance and technology, translating business requirements into delivered solutions while ensuring finance teams are equipped and ready to adopt new ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading end-to-end delivery of finance system implementations and process transformation projects
- Managing cross-functional teams including finance SMEs, IT specialists, and external vendors
- Developing programme plans and ensuring delivery to time, budget, and quality standards
- Managing risks, issues, dependencies, and change across the transformation portfolio
- Driving adoption through effective stakeholder engagement and change management
- Providing regular reporting to senior leadership on programme status and benefits realisation
Essential Requirements
- Finance qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong understanding of finance operations
- Proven experience as a Programme Manager / Senior Project Manager within complex finance transformation programmes
- Strong understanding of core finance processes and controls
- Hands-on experience delivering ERP enabled change programmes (ideally D365) but enterprise ERP's such as SAP / Oracle would be considered
- Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence at senior levels
- Strong delivery focus using structured methodologies
- Outstanding communication skills
