We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to join a leading hedge fund on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for customising, developing, and maintaining Business Central solutions to meet the clients evolving business requirements. This role requires strong technical expertise in the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem and the ability to translate business needs into effective ERP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement custom solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central using AL programming language.
  • Create and modify Business Central extensions, including tables, pages, reports, codeunits, and XML ports.
  • Develop integrations between Business Central and third-party applications using APIs, web services, and data exchange frameworks.
  • Build custom reports using Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), or Business Central's built-in reporting tools.
  • Configure and customise Business Central modules including Treasury, Procurement, Financial Management, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, and Manufacturing.
  • Perform system upgrades, apply updates, and manage version control processes.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Maintain development, testing, and production environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience of developing solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV).
  • Proficiency in AL programming language and C/AL (for legacy systems).
  • Strong understanding of Business Central architecture, modules, and functionality.
  • Experience with Visual Studio Code and AL development tools.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, database design, and optimisation techniques.
