Competitive Salary + Benefits

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Programme Manager to play a key leadership role within a large-scale, multi-year enterprise transformation portfolio.

The Role

This role sits at the heart of a funded, senior-sponsored transformation that is fundamentally reshaping end-to-end services, operating models, technology, data, and organisational capability. The organisation has completed the early foundations of change and is now scaling delivery to realise long-term benefits.

As a Senior Programme Manager, you will provide leadership across complex initiatives, shape delivery approaches, and support the maturity of the wider programme management capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning and leading large, complex programmes or critical elements of a transformation portfolio
  • Providing senior-level oversight of delivery, governance, risks, interdependencies, and benefits
  • Influencing and challenging senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic priorities
  • Translating strategic objectives into clear, deliverable roadmaps and outcomes
  • Supporting and coaching Programme Managers and Project Managers within your programme
  • Contributing to portfolio-level planning, prioritisation, and continuous improvement of delivery practices
  • Acting as a trusted partner to business leaders, enabling change rather than driving it in isolation

About you

  • Significant experience as a Senior Programme Manager or equivalent, delivering enterprise-scale transformation
  • Proven track record of leading complex, multi-disciplinary change across business, technology, and data
  • Strong governance, financial management, risk, and assurance experience
  • Ability to operate confidently at senior leadership and board-facing levels
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity, making trade-offs, and managing competing priorities
  • A collaborative leader with strong coaching and influencing skills
  • Sector experience is not essential, but experience delivering large-scale transformation is key.

Why Apply?

  • Leadership role within an end-to-end operating model transformation
  • Long-term, funded change with strong executive sponsorship
  • Opportunity to shape how transformation is delivered, not just what is delivered
  • Broad exposure across service design, technology, data, and organisational change
  • A chance to help build and mature a programme management capability

This role suits a Senior Programme Manager who has led transformation at scale and is motivated by shaping outcomes, developing others, and delivering lasting organisational change. If you’re looking for influence, complexity, and long-term impact, this role offers all three.
