We’re supporting a large organisation undergoing significant transformation as they continue to mature their Business Architecture capability. This is an opportunity for a Senior Business Architect to play a key role in shaping how the organisation operates end-to-end and enabling more effective, agile delivery of change. This role sits within a broader architecture and transformation function and will focus on aligning business strategy with operational execution across people, process, technology, data, and governance.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Business Architect, you’ll help design and evolve enterprise-wide operating models, ensuring business capabilities, processes, organisational structures, and enabling technology are aligned to strategic objectives. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across technology, process improvement, data, HR, and transformation teams to create a more connected and holistic view of how the organisation operates. This is a highly collaborative role suited to someone who can operate strategically while also driving practical delivery and business engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Target Operating Models (TOMs)
- Analyse and design business capabilities, processes, and operating structures
- Support enterprise-wide transformation and change initiatives
- Work across business, technology, data, and operational teams to improve alignment
- Lead and contribute to business design and design assurance activities
- Identify opportunities to improve agility, efficiency, and organisational effectiveness
- Help establish and mature Business Architecture practices, frameworks, and standards
- Support the implementation and adoption of business architecture/design tooling
- Facilitate workshops and engage senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Contribute to strategy-to-execution planning and transformation roadmaps
About You
We’re looking for someone with experience operating within Business Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Operating Model Design, or large-scale Transformation environments. You may currently be working as a:
- Senior Business Architect
- Lead Business Architect
- Enterprise Architect (Business focused)
- Operating Model Lead
- Transformation Architect
- Senior Business Analyst looking to move into architecture
Experience Required
- Experience working within Business Architecture or Operating Model Design
- Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and organisational design
- Experience supporting enterprise transformation initiatives
- Ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups including Technology, Data, HR, and Operations
- Experience developing Target Operating Models and business capability frameworks
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
- Experience implementing or embedding business architecture/design tooling is highly desirable
- Previous experience helping establish or mature architecture/design practices would be advantageous
