Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Contract Management to lead end-to-end contract operations across a growing EV charging infrastructure company. This pivotal role will oversee supplier relationships, manufacturing agreements, and public sector contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Contract Leadership
- Develop and implement contract strategies aligned with business growth
- Lead negotiations and execution of complex agreements with suppliers, manufacturers, and public sector partners.
- Standardise templates, processes, and governance frameworks to improve efficiency and mitigate risk.
- Provide expert guidance on commercial terms, compliance, and risk management.
Supplier & Manufacturing Oversight
- Manage key supplier and manufacturing partner relationships, driving performance and innovation.
- Oversee contracts related to EV hardware production, ensuring they meet technical, quality, and delivery standards.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align contract terms with development roadmaps.
Procurement & Supply Chain Integration
- Work with procurement teams to ensure contract terms support effective inventory and supply chain resilience.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, quality improvement, and supplier consolidation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and component sourcing requirements for EV technologies.
Public Sector & Local Authority Partnerships
- Oversee contracts with local authorities and public sector bodies, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations.
- Manage concession agreements and monitor service levels under public-private partnerships.
- Support bid and tender processes for new public sector EV infrastructure opportunities.
Experience & Qualifications
- 8+ years in contracts management, including senior leadership experience
- Strong background in manufacturing contracts and supplier negotiations.
- Proven experience in public sector contracting and procurement frameworks.
- Deep understanding of contract law and lifecycle management.
- Degree in business, law, supply chain, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in the EV charging, renewable energy, or infrastructure sectors.
- Knowledge of UK public procurement regulations.
- Familiarity with contract management software and supply chain systems.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, IACCM/WorldCC).
- Background in a high-growth, PE-backed business.
