We're seeking an experienced Data Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping and evolving a modern enterprise data landscape within a complex, regulated professional services environment. This is not a support function role. Technology is central to the organisation's growth strategy, with strong executive sponsorship and sustained investment in data, analytics, and AI capabilities. You'll be responsible for defining the architectural vision that enables trusted, accessible, secure, and high-quality data across the business.

The Role

  • Define and maintain enterprise-wide data architecture principles and standards
  • Own and evolve the enterprise data model
  • Design scalable Azure-based data platforms and target architectures
  • Architect robust data pipelines (ETL/ELT and streaming)
  • Establish integration patterns across APIs, messaging, and batch processes
  • Define Master Data Management (MDM) patterns
  • Embed governance, stewardship, and data quality frameworks
  • Ensure regulatory and privacy-by-design compliance
  • Enable AI/ML data foundations and modern data product approaches
  • Provide architectural oversight across major programmes

This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on architectural depth.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in Data Architecture or Enterprise Data roles
  • Strong expertise across Azure data services
  • Deep knowledge of data modelling (enterprise & dimensional)
  • Experience designing modern data platforms and pipelines
  • Strong understanding of data governance and quality frameworks
  • Knowledge of privacy, compliance, and regulated environments
  • Ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders

Why Apply?

  • Strategic, business-critical role
  • Strong leadership sponsorship of data initiatives
  • Opportunity to shape long-term architecture direction
  • Exposure to AI and advanced analytics programmes
  • Hybrid working and flexible culture
  • Highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment

If you're a forward-thinking Data Architect looking to shape a modern, secure, enterprise data platform in a complex environment — we'd love to hear from you.
