We’re working with a well-established organisation operating within a highly technical and regulated environment to recruit an experienced Business Systems Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a systems-focused professional who enjoys combining technology, process improvement and business transformation to deliver real operational impact.
As Business Systems Manager, you’ll take ownership of the organisation’s core business applications, with ERP at the heart of the role. Working across projects, operations, engineering, finance and IT, you’ll ensure business systems are effective, integrated and aligned with organisational objectives. You’ll play a key role in improving processes, strengthening systems governance, driving digital innovation and ensuring the business gets maximum value from its technology investment.
The Role
- Business Systems Ownership
- Taking ownership of the organisation’s core business applications, with ERP as the primary platform
- Ensuring business systems are reliable, secure, supported and aligned with business requirements
- Managing application upgrades, enhancements, integrations and vendor support
- Developing and maintaining systems governance, standards and documentation
- Overseeing application performance, user access, master data integrity and reporting capability
- Business Process Improvement
- Working with teams across the organisation to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for improvement
- Leading process mapping, requirements gathering and solution design
- Driving standardisation, automation and simplification of business processes
- Balancing process improvement, system configuration and customisation to deliver practical, effective solutions
- Application Portfolio Management
- Maintaining oversight and governance across the wider business systems landscape, including SaaS and specialist engineering/manufacturing applications
- Establishing consistent approaches to application support, change control, release management and system ownership
- Evaluating new technologies and applications to ensure they meet business needs and integrate effectively with existing platforms
- Managing integrations and data flows between systems
