We are looking for a dedicated professional who wants to contribute to our long-term vision by taking on an integral role to be part of the sales engine to drive company growth. The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Essex. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with potential clients, and promoting Levett Consultancy’s cloud-based digital transformation services.

Key responsibilities for the Business Development Manager:

  • Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, preparing proposals, supporting tenders, and presenting solutions that align with client needs and budgets.
  • The Business Development Manager will collaborate with internal teams to refine service offerings, provide market feedback, and contribute to revenue growth and brand visibility in target sectors.
  • The role also involves attending meetings and events, maintaining accurate sales records, and reporting on pipeline and performance.

What To Expect From Us:

  • A basic salary of £40,000 Base Salary with strictly uncapped £40,000 variable commission at 100% target achievement (Total OTE: £80,000).
  • Commission payments are governed by a "Paid on Paid" protection clause and are subject to 100% target achievement.
  • Company pension.
  • Healthcare plan after probation period has been completed.
  • A 35 hour working week.
  • 21 Days Holiday + 1 day for your birthday + all UK public holidays + extra 5 days after 5 years’ service.
  • A dress code of a company provided shirt along with smart dress trousers and appropriate footwear.
  • A permanent contract reviewed annually upon meeting KPI targets.
  • Annual Continue Professional Development Programme (Training + paid exams).

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Demonstrated business development, sales, or account management experience, preferably in technology, cloud services, or digital transformation.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, accessible language.
  • Experience building and maintaining client relationships in the education or business sectors is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to analyse market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategic plans to expand client portfolios.
  • Comfort working on-site in Essex, managing a part-time schedule, and coordinating effectively with remote and local team members.
  • Solid organisational and time-management skills, including use of CRM tools and basic productivity software (e.g., Google Workspace or Microsoft 365).
  • Relevant qualification in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
  • Commitment to inclusive, ethical business practices and an interest in supporting digital transformation in education and business environments.
  • A willingness to travel extensively within the UK is essential, including occasional overnight stays away from home as required by business needs.
