Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective operational support solutions and best practices for EMEA clients, enhancing the client experience.
- Cultivate and maintain senior relationships with clients, vendors, custodians, and internal teams globally.
- Serve as a senior operational point of contact for EMEA client group teams, expertly managing priorities and deadlines.
- Partner across Investment Services, Technology, and Client Group teams to drive process optimisation and advance operational support models.
- Oversee process improvement initiatives, including offshoring and enhancing legacy workflows to minimise risk and create scale.
- Monitor, assess, and communicate operational risk trends, keeping abreast of market, client, regulatory, and custodian factors.
- Mentor and support junior team members, sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Provide subject matter expertise on EMEA-specific client needs, such as UK Sub advisory, UCITS Funds, German KVG, UK FSA, and European insurance clients, ensuring regional nuances are fully understood and supported.
Essential Qualifications/Experience:
- At least 10 years’ experience in financial services, with advanced knowledge of investment management operations and custodian bank processes.
- Demonstrated ability in relationship management and stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
- Strong partnership skills, adept at collaborating across multiple teams and disciplines.
- Thorough understanding of investment operations, capital markets, custody, accounting/recordkeeping, and foreign exchange transactions.
- Up-to-date knowledge of local regulatory requirements across EMEA.
- Proven experience in initiating and managing operational change, using sound risk analysis and mitigation techniques.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong business judgement and ability to synthesise complex issues while balancing competing objectives.
