We are working with a leading global investment manager looking to appoint an Associate Director within its private markets business in London.
This is a visible role focused on the development of infrastructure and private debt products for institutional investors globally.
Sitting at the intersection of investment, product and client strategy, the role offers significant ownership across the development and delivery of new products and bespoke mandates.
Key responsibilities will include
- Leading the development and structuring of new private markets products and institutional mandates from concept through to launch.
- Designing fund and non-fund structures, including pooled vehicles, separately managed accounts and bespoke mandates.
- Partnering with investment teams to translate investment ideas and client requirements into clearly defined products and strategies.
- Providing technical expertise across vehicle selection, fund domicile, regulation, tax, legal and operational considerations.
- Leading complex initiatives involving stakeholders across investment, client-facing, legal, tax, compliance, risk and operational functions.
- Assessing market developments, investor trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for new products and enhancements.
The successful candidate is likely to bring
- Significant experience in product development and structuring within asset management, private credit, infrastructure finance or a related investment banking environment.
- Strong knowledge of debt instruments, credit structures and financing solutions across infrastructure, private credit or broader alternative investments.
- Demonstrable experience structuring private asset products from initial concept through to launch.
- Experience across both commingled funds and bespoke/non-fund structures, including separately managed accounts.
- A strong understanding of the legal, regulatory, tax and operational considerations involved in developing institutional investment products.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience operating across investment, technical and client-facing teams.
- International market exposure, with experience working with North American institutional investors, including insurance companies, advantageous.
