We are working with a leading investment management firm looking for an experienced Senior Manager to take ownership of Third Party Risk Management across their European business. This is a high-impact role, focused on strengthening the control environment, enhancing frameworks, and ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory requirements. You will work closely with global teams while acting as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders across the region.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development, enhancement, and ongoing oversight of the European Third Party Risk Management framework
- Design and implement robust control processes to identify, assess, and mitigate third party risk
- Partner with procurement and other key functions to ensure a consistent and effective oversight strategy
- Build strong relationships across business lines to drive governance, accountability, and awareness
- Identify control gaps and implement improvements to strengthen the overall risk framework
- Engage with regulators where required, acting as a subject matter expert
- Deliver training and coaching to first line teams to embed best practice and improve capability
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, enhancing efficiency and simplifying processes
- Collaborate across the three lines of defence to minimise duplication and disruption
Requirements:
- Significant experience within third party risk, supplier oversight, or operational risk
- Proven leadership experience within a risk or control function
- Strong background in asset management or financial services
- Demonstrated experience building and embedding risk frameworks aligned with European regulation
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across a matrix organisation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to coach and develop teams, driving capability uplift
