A high-performing boutique investment firm, specialising in equities and alternatives, is seeking an ambitious Investment Operations professional to step into an aspiring Team Lead role. This role will initially focus on Investment Operations, with structured development across Fund Accounting and Valuations, offering a clear pathway into a broader leadership position spanning both functions. Working within a lean, high-impact team, responsibilities will include oversight of NAV production, reconciliations, and reporting, alongside wider middle and back-office activities.
The role partners closely with front office teams and external providers, supporting fund activity, investor deliverables, and fund launches. A key element of the position is involvement in an ongoing systems transformation, providing the opportunity to shape processes, improve controls, and drive operational efficiency across the platform.
From the outset, the successful candidate will take on informal leadership responsibilities, supporting junior team members, overseeing workflow, and contributing to team development, with a clear route into a formal Team Lead role.
Candidates must hold a formal accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) and bring strong experience in investment operations within asset management. Exposure to equities and/or alternative asset classes is highly desirable. A solid understanding of NAV processes and fund accounting principles is essential. Strong Excel skills, including VBA or macros, are advantageous.
