A leading UK asset owner is recruiting an Associate to join its growing Private Markets Funds-of-Funds platform. The team invests across private equity, venture capital, private credit and infrastructure primarily through fund commitments, complemented selectively by co-investments. The platform operates as a fully integrated allocator, offering exposure across the full private-markets universe from a portfolio-construction and manager-selection perspective.
This role is strictly for early-career private-markets professionals with existing funds-of-funds or multi-manager experience, who enjoy fund analysis, portfolio monitoring and working across multiple strategies rather than single-asset execution.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct fund-level underwriting and due diligence across private equity, venture capital and infrastructure managers, including private credit opportunities where appropriate.
- Support the evaluation of new and existing fund relationships, including strategy assessment, team analysis, track-record review and risk considerations.
- Assist with the review and selective assessment of co-investment opportunities alongside core fund commitments.
- Monitor portfolios at a fund-of-funds level, analysing performance, exposures, pacing, concentration and cross-strategy implications.
- Prepare written materials, investment notes and analysis for internal discussions and investment committee review.
- Participate in GP meetings and diligence sessions, preparing structured notes and contributing informed challenge.
- Contribute to broader allocator-level discussions around strategy allocation, diversification and portfolio evolution.
- 2–3 years’ experience in private markets, with a strong preference for funds-of-funds, multi-manager, allocator or LP-side experience.
- Demonstrable experience underwriting private-markets funds and assessing managers.
- Exposure to infrastructure or private credit is essential.
- Strong analytical and written communication skills, with the ability to step back and think at a portfolio level.
- Comfortable working independently within a collaborative, low-hierarchy environment.
- Degree-educated; CFA / CAIA sponsorship supported but not required.
We are committed to equity and fairness throughout the recruitment process and welcome applications from all backgrounds. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to support accessibility during the process.
