A leading global investment manager is seeking an entrepreneurial and client-focused Institutional Sales Director to drive business development across the Benelux region. This is a key hire within the European distribution team, offering the opportunity to join a collaborative, high-performing group at a pivotal stage of growth. This is a high-impact role for a driven professional seeking to build new partnerships, expand client relationships and contribute to the ongoing growth of the firm’s European platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development across the Benelux institutional and wealth segments, focusing on both liquid and illiquid asset classes.
- Manage and grow relationships with tier-two and tier-three institutional accounts.
- Deliver annual asset inflows, aligned to strategic growth objectives.
- Partner with colleagues across Europe to execute regional business plans and identify new client opportunities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to institutional investors, offering tailored solutions across private credit, real estate debt, infrastructure debt, and public fixed income.
- Represent the firm externally, promoting its investment capabilities through targeted client engagement and marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless client service and long-term relationship management.
Ideal Candidate
- 8–12 years’ experience in institutional sales or business development within asset management.
- Exposure to private markets (e.g. private credit, real estate debt, infrastructure debt, portfolio finance) and public market fixed income.
- Strong understanding of the Benelux institutional and wealth landscape; prior regional coverage is an advantage but not essential.
- Track record of originating and converting new business.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage credibly with senior stakeholders and articulate complex investment solutions.
- Collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively across matrixed, international teams.
- Fluency in English is essential; French and/or Dutch language skills are highly desirable.
