We’re supporting a high-growth, independent investment firm in hiring a senior Italian-speaking Sales Director to lead coverage across Italy and Southern Europe, with a particular focus on Italy and Southern Switzerland. The team is open to candidates based in London or Milan, with the expectation of regular travel to the UK and close collaboration with senior leadership and investment teams.

This is a strategic hire for a commercially driven, technically strong professional who can combine deep client connectivity in Italy with a genuine understanding of the underlying strategies they are positioning — across both public and private markets. This role will suit someone who enjoys selling in a consultative way — combining relationship depth with technical product understanding across liquid and private strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and grow the firm’s footprint across Italy and Southern Switzerland, leveraging an established network to originate and convert new opportunities.
  • Engage senior decision-makers across institutions, private banks, wealth managers and family offices, positioning the firm as a long-term strategic partner.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process: pipeline development, pitching, structuring solutions, and closing flows across a multi-asset product set.
  • Confidently articulate the investment rationale behind strategies, explaining how and why they suit different client outcomes and constraints.
  • Represent the firm in-market, sharing product updates and insights, and feeding client intelligence back into product, investment and leadership teams.
  • Deliver high-quality client management including service planning, portfolio reviews, and long-term relationship development.
What We’re Looking For
  • A highly credible distribution professional with a deep and demonstrable network in Italy (institutional and/or intermediary).
  • Strong experience across both public markets and private markets, with the ability to speak fluently about underlying strategies and portfolio fit.
  • A solutions-led mindset: able to match strategies to client needs (risk, liquidity, time horizon, objectives, constraints).
  • Native Italian and strong English, confident presenting to sophisticated clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-starting, commercially driven and comfortable operating with autonomy in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
