Job Summary / Advert – Registered Manager:

Location: Hemel Hempstead.

Job title: Registered Manager (Ofsted Registered).

Service: Ofsted Regulated Residential Children’s Home, Regulated for the care of EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) and / or LD (Learning Disability) children – 3 bedroomed children’s home.

Salary: Depending on Experience (sliding scale) – £45,000 (1st time post) to £60,000 (3+ year Manager experience).

Additional rates for on-calls (£20 per day) and sleep in’s (£70 per night) are also applicable.

Bonus Scheme: Competitive rate of pay, including a progressive pay scale based on experience, qualifications, and performance.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

– QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare / Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent).

– Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services in the children and young people’s residential management pathway (either obtained or currently / willing to work towards).

– Experience at Registered Manager / Deputy Manager level specifically within a residential home for children.

– Experience of working within Ofsted Regulated Residential Children’s Home’s is essential for this post.

Additionally, for the purpose of our home’s that are not registered with Ofsted, and / or, applying for registration, the post holder is expected to confidently guide the home through its Ofsted Registration process in a timely fashion.

The position also requires the post holder to successfully register with Ofsted as the ‘Registered Manager’ of the specific home / s – this is a pre-requisite of the role.
