Overview

The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI), with the Institute for Technology and Humanity (ITH), is a highly interdisciplinary research centre working on many of the most pressing issues of our modern world. Research at CFI focuses on the challenges and opportunities posed by the future development of artificial intelligence (AI), in both the short and long term.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the administrative team at CFI and work closely with our team of researchers and academics, as well as the friendly professional services team across ITH.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the visitor process.
  • Support researchers with procurement.
  • Organise conferences and events and arrange travel.
  • Act as committee secretary.
  • Support the Centre Coordinator and Institute Manager with ad hoc administrative projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience of working in an administrative environment.
  • Educated to HND/HNC level, level 4/5 vocational qualification or equivalent level of practical experience.
  • Well-organised with a positive, flexible approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships with administrative colleagues, research staff, and other stakeholders.

Contract and eligibility

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 year, due to limited funding. This is a part-time role working 29.2 hours/week.
