The Securities Lending Middle Office manage core transactional and post trade processing controls for the EMEA Securities lending business. The two core functions performed within the team are Stock loan middle office and Collateral and Margin Management.

Stock Loan middle office are responsible for monitoring and escalating front to back breaks, performing post contractual settlement date booking amendments, contract compare (Equilend and Pirum), and front to back query resolution. Collateral and Margin management are responsible for daily monitoring of collateral exposures for Stock Loan activity, Triparty collateral management and processing margin calls. The team are also involved with regulatory, business and technology driven projects from a design and testing perspective. The position has become available to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Responsible for the daily support to the Securities Lending trading desk for JIL business across Europe and Asia.
  • Liaise with Operational areas for Settlement, Ops Control, Corporate Actions, Static Data, Client Onboarding, Product Control to support business requirements.
  • Front to back reconciliations – investigating, resolving, and performing root causes of breaks.
  • Identify and escalate operational risks & potential issues promptly and in accordance with the firm’s risk framework.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and driving enhancements to operational processes and controls.
  • Understanding of Equity Triparty and the collateral cycle within the program.
  • Future State Architecture – Working with technology and the business on projects to improve front to back processing.
  • Monitoring of stock loan collateral exposures, processing margin calls and dealing with triparty agents.

Qualifications/ Experience:

The candidate is required to have experience in the Securities Lending operational space. Understanding of the key functions for the front to back process will assist the individual to support the daily function. System knowledge to the associated product will bring value to the group such as Pirum, Equilend, and Global One.

Working relationships:

The candidate will face internal and external clients on a global scale to support the process. There will be a requirement to work with our vendor services and agent banks to reach resolution on open issues. The role requires an internal network of colleagues in a number of different areas including Treasury, Operations, Technology, Control and Finance.
