We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the execution of our strategic initiatives within the UK Real Estate sector. This role requires a strong focus on managing and monitoring a diverse portfolio of real estate loans, sourcing new opportunities, and ensuring adherence to internal approval processes.
The ideal candidate will uphold industry best practices and collaborate effectively with legal, compliance, and tax departments.
- Implement the UK Real Estate strategy in collaboration with senior management and global team leaders.
- Originate and execute real estate finance transactions while ensuring compliance with credit, legal, and tax requirements, and evaluating the commercial viability of transactions as well as their syndication or securitization potential.
- Act as the first line of defence in managing risk within real estate finance activities.
- Contribute to internal business and credit committees by providing insights from the UK Real Estate Finance team.
- Supervise the ongoing management of real estate transactions after closing and recommend actions to safeguard the firm's interests in the loan portfolio.
Proven experience in marketing and originating real estate finance transactions. Strong background in commercial mortgage underwriting and an understanding of associated risks in commercial lending. Comprehensive knowledge of the UK real estate market and its key stakeholders. Extensive experience with structured finance techniques as they apply to real estate transactions.
