A great opportunity for a seasoned Banking professional to join a Coverage & Advisory team for Infrastructure Energy & Natural Resources for a Corporate and Investment Banking client as a pivotal member responsible for fostering and nurturing relationships with clients while delivering customized solutions across financial advisory, structured finance, investment banking, and M&A services. Main Responsibilities:
- Play a central role in initiating and managing relationships, guiding Corporate & Investment Banking activities for a diverse portfolio of clients and prospects within the infrastructure Energy and Natural Resources sectors.
- Work closely with senior bankers and management to execute the strategic vision set for the region.
- Lead the coverage efforts for UK corporates and funds, effectively collaborating with the UK Energy and Natural Resources coverage team.
- Cultivate and manage the bank's relationships with assigned clients.
- Serve as a primary point of contact between the Bank and clients/prospects, ensuring clear communication and strong rapport.
- Contribute meaningfully to the overarching strategy of the UK Energy and Natural Resources business, influencing direction and initiatives.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of clients’ organizations, including their business models, financials, strategies, and objectives.
- Identify clients' strategic and financing requirements, proposing tailored solutions that address their needs.
- Generate innovative pitch ideas for targeted clients and prospects, enhancing the bank’s competitive edge.
- Formulate and execute commercial action plans for priority clients/prospects to drive engagement and growth.
- Spot potential business opportunities within each client/prospect, facilitating introductions to relevant business lines.
- Collaborate with various business lines to support the development and execution of the ETNR business plan and budget.
- Map and onboard prospective clients, ensuring a smooth transition to active partnerships.
- Coordinate with management, risk, and compliance teams to ensure seamless communication and task execution.
- Prepare and present relationship updates to Bizcom/NCC, detailing insights on clients and transactions.
- Monitor the profitability of corporate coverage for assigned clients/prospects, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Partner with Client Portfolio Relationship Management to optimize risk exposure and improve distribution.
- Support negotiations and credit analysis for deals in partnership with appropriate business lines.
- Identify organizational risks or inefficiencies, proposing actionable remedies and enhancements.
- Lead by example, mentoring junior staff and actively contributing to their development and performance evaluations.
