About the Company
This is a 6-month maternity cover contract for a Global Financial Information and Analytics company. You will join a best-in-class team of people professionals, who work collegially and professionally across the EMEA region to collaborate and exchange domain knowledge and expertise in the people field to provide the highest level of people and business support.
About the Role
The EMEA Regional People team is a dynamic team responsible for the local implementation and operation of our global People programs, practices and procedures with a focus on people relations, performance management and organizational development.
Responsibilities
- This role will support the S&P Global Market intelligence division as well as supporting some of our corporate functions based in the UK. This role will support circa 1,200 colleagues.
- Partner closely and build strong and effective relationships with Divisional People Partners and people leaders within the S&P Global Market Intelligence division and corporate functions, across regional and global remits to develop a deep knowledge and understanding of key priorities, issues and challenges in order to deliver and add value.
- Manage and execute a range of regional projects including restructures, M&A activities, run TUPE processes when applicable always working in partnership with relevant key stakeholders to mitigate any risk and compliance issues.
- Advise people leaders on performance management, People Relations (ER) appropriately evaluating risk and providing guidance/support in executing terminations.
- Partner with Divisional People Partners on projects from career and development programs to annual comp planning.
Qualifications
- Ideally you have 5 -10 years of people experience having worked for a medium or large sized matrix company in a very fast paced environment.

- Resilient and has the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience in handling people relations matters and supporting people leaders performance management.
- Strong proactive problem-solving, decision-making skills and a sense of personal accountability.

- Strong understanding of people processes and a sound understanding of UK labour.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with HRIS tools – preferably Workday.
