This is a full-time, in-person role based in London, with flexibility for short-term remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out sample preparation extractions and carry out LC-MS analyses for clinical samples
  • Help optimise and validate protocols for high-throughput identification of hormone molecules in clinical samples
  • Help maintain and calibrate the analytical instruments
  • Support the installation/maintenance, attend training, and manage the consumables related to the instruments
  • Draft SOP and reports for the analysis of hormone molecules in clinical samples
  • Work and communicate with the biosensor R&D team for sensing optimisations

What You Bring

A master's or Ph.D. degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry or related disciplines with a background in biological science and statistics. Postdoctoral experience (university or industrial) will be a plus for this position. Right to work in the UK.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in analytical chemistry techniques, including mass spectrometry, LC-MS/MS and others
  • Experience and deep understanding in sample extraction/separation in clinical samples
  • Experience working with lipids, steroid hormones or steroid-like molecules using mass spectrometry
  • Expertise in analytical protocol development and analysis

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of ICP-MS
  • Knowledge in the characterisation of different human fluids
