Ready for something bigger than your current sales role?
This isn't a job where you'll spend your week sitting behind a laptop managing accounts over email.
We're looking for an ambitious Regional Account Manager who wants to build a career, take ownership of a region and work directly with established businesses to help improve their sales performance.
You'll be out meeting clients, building relationships with senior decision-makers, analysing performance, identifying opportunities, coaching sales teams and putting commercial plans into action.
You don't need automotive experience.
We're much more interested in finding someone bright, commercially minded, confident with people and ambitious about where they can take their career.
If you're already performing well in sales, account management or business development and feel ready for a role with greater responsibility, autonomy and exposure, we'd like to hear from you.
What will you actually be doing?
As a Regional Account Manager, you'll take responsibility for a portfolio of established automotive dealer clients across your region.
You'll become a trusted commercial partner to your accounts rather than simply checking in with them.
Your week will involve
- Meeting clients face-to-face and building strong relationships with managers and senior decision-makers
- Reviewing sales performance and identifying where improvements can be made
- Agreeing commercial action plans and helping clients implement them
- Coaching and developing sales teams to improve performance
- Delivering engaging training sessions and presentations
- Analysing data, trends and results to identify opportunities
- Supporting product launches and new commercial initiatives
- Managing your own diary, territory and priorities
- Building your profile and credibility across your client base
- Attending client events, conferences and hospitality
- Working autonomously while being part of an experienced and supportive wider team
It's a varied role combining account management, sales, commercial development, relationship building, coaching and consultancy.
Who are we looking for?
You could currently be working in B2B sales, account management, business development, recruitment, financial services, automotive, FMCG, technology or another commercially focused environment.
Industry experience isn't the deciding factor. Your potential is.
We're particularly interested in people who
- Have a successful track record within sales, account management or business development
- Are ambitious and want to progress their career
- Build rapport quickly and are comfortable dealing with different personalities
- Have the confidence to challenge, influence and make recommendations
- Are commercially aware and comfortable working with targets and performance data
- Can present confidently to individuals and groups
- Are organised, self‑motivated and comfortable managing their own diary
- Enjoy being out meeting customers rather than being permanently office-based
- Have a degree or can demonstrate strong academic/commercial capability
- Have a full UK driving licence
You certainly don't need to know everything on day one. We're looking for someone with the ability, attitude and ambition to develop quickly.
The opportunity
The client works with some of the UK's leading automotive dealer groups, providing their solutions and commercial support to dealerships across the UK.
This is an opportunity to join an established business, learn a specialist market and develop into a highly credible commercial account manager.
You'll be trusted to manage your own region and client relationships, while receiving the support and development needed to build your expertise.
For someone on the upward curve of their career, there's plenty of scope to grow with the business.
Package
- £30,000 basic salary
