An opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a join a leading food wholesaler and distributor. In this fast paced role no two days are the same. Their ultimate goal is to keep the customer at the heart of everything they do and to do this you need to be excellent at building strong relationships with customers by really understanding their needs and looking for solutions to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. They are currently looking for an Business Development Manager to join their team, covering Cumbria. As part of this team you will be responsible for: * Delivering sustainable sales and profit growth in line with agreed targets. * Developing sales opportunities with existing accounts by analysing territory sales data, minimising order losses and creating and maintaining a prospect database. * developing profitable new business through active canvass calling and ongoing account creation. * Providing accurate and timely information and reports in accordance with agreed timeframes via your line manager. Your performance will be in line with agreed company KPIs including customer call rate, business growth and retention. Collaborative work is essential utilising the expertise of Category Specialists will ensure there is a co-ordinated approach to growth and activity. You will be able to demonstrate excellent selling skills and a proven track record in regularly exceeded sales targets. Excellent customer relations and a flexible approach are essential. You will have a full driving licence and reside within or in close proximity to the territory. The successful Business Development Manager will be rewarded with a basic salary of £35 – £40,000, car allowance of £6,800 and an uncapped OTE of £12 – £15,000, contributory pension, 25 days holiday plus many more company benefits
