Situated in the Mid Canterbury Plains we are only an hour away from Christchurch, an hour to Mt Hutt Ski Field and Lake Hood is only 10 Minutes down the road and better still you can buy your own home for under $500,000.

We are looking for an Experienced NZ Registered Electrician who has NZ Residency with a passion for Residential projects both new build and renovation as well as smaller Commercial jobs.

As a Project Manager you will lead a team of apprentice and qualified electricians making sure each job is completed to a very high standard.

The role will require administration and time management skills as you will respond to Residential and Commercial job leads, arrange your site visits to skope works before doing quotes and electrical plans. We envisage that initially approximately 50% of your time will be on the tools.

From quote acceptance you will be responsible for ensuring jobs run within quoted hours. You will need to order gear for jobs and also ensure variations and credits are processed and the division\’s monthly P&L report meets your KPI’s. This position also requires completion of Health and Safety Documents, Tool Box Meeting Minutes, Code of Compliance Certificates, On the Job Audits, and your team\’s time sheets and schedules.

You must have sharp communication skills to ensure projects run smoothly and will need to liaise with builders and other trades on site. You will also at times work directly with the homeowner so a friendly and approachable manner is well suited to the role.

Previous experience in this type of leadership role will be an advantage however training will be provided to the right applicant and attitude.
