We’re looking for our newest member of Leumi UK in our People Team. The People Partner will be responsible for partnering and influencing a range of stakeholders within the business, external stakeholders and third parties with specific responsibility for pod leaders and line managers. The role holder is expected to challenge, support and coach leaders in addition to managing people related risk, compliance management as well as payroll and benefits oversight. The role is a broad generalist opportunity, and the role holder must be comfortable getting involved in a varied remit at every level across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • To work with the Chief People Officer in identifying, aligning and developing the People plan aligned to the business strategy providing a proactive and engaged partnering approach.
  • To provide proactive business partnering and support to pod leaders and line managers to drive consistency of approach across the business in the application of policies, processes and embedding our guiding principles to build the best culture.
  • To proactively manage the recruitment and selection process by liaising with recruiting managers, assisting with the identification and implementation of appropriate recruitment strategies, arranging and conducting interviews in a timely manner, ensuring timely feedback / action up to VP level.
  • The ability to select the right methodology and resources, plan and deliver projects whilst also managing the risks, as there will be the requirement to participate in ad hoc projects as assigned with an ability to foresee issues and coach managers accordingly.
  • Manage talent and succession planning, working with the business to identify rising stars and support with associated learning requirements.
  • To identify and develop where and how people process efficiencies can be gained within the department by streamlining and improving existing practices and processes.
  • To ensure changes in employment law are effectively implemented and communicated.
  • To support with the learning agenda for the business.
  • Support the annual remuneration review process in partnership with the CPO and People Ops Partner.
  • Lead on all first stage Employee Relations matters in line with policy and ensuring a thorough investigation and/or documentation required.
  • To partner with line managers and pod leaders on all staff related matters in accordance with policy and procedure whilst also adopting an effective and timely case management approach.
  • To understand the importance and impact of wellbeing and how to integrate this into people practices. This will involve all employee engagement initiatives.
  • To support Payroll Partner in the monthly processing of payroll ensuring minimal errors and timely first line sign off.
  • Support the People Ops Partner with all operational requirements across the department including absence coverage.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • People partnering experience gained ideally within Financial Services, including oversight of payroll.
  • Employee relations experience to include (but not limited to) redundancies, dismissals, absence issues, disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Understanding of employment law and ability to raise when legal advice is required.
  • Ability to influence, coach and support managers on all HR related matters.
  • PC literate with excellent Microsoft Word and Excel Skills.
  • Ambitious and keen to invest in ongoing development and opportunities.
  • Ideally CIPD qualified or studying towards this.
  • Degree or Master’s degree within Human Resource Management or a related area of specialism (not essential).
