We’re looking for our newest member of Leumi UK in our Real Estate Finance team. The purpose of the role is to assist in the proactive origination of new business within Leumi UK’s risk and return parameters, engaging directly with the Relationship Directors and other appropriate stakeholders in the Real Estate Finance team.

The Associate Director will be involved in the prospecting of new customers together with the analysis, structuring, negotiating, underwriting and execution of new loans in order to expand the Leumi UK Real Estate Finance franchise. They will work as part of a team to deliver the business’ goals and develop the brand awareness of Leumi UK as a specialist real estate lender across UK & Europe.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Relationship Directors with structuring, negotiation, credit presentation and execution of new business in addition to leading and managing transactions independently with clients and advisors;
  • Manage and prioritise work commitments to meet team objectives;
  • Generate returns that provide a sensible risk reward profile with a mix of income lines to deliver profits in line with Leumi UK targets;
  • Use existing and new contact networks to actively promote the Leumi UK Real Estate Finance brand through a variety of channels including attending in person industry related events;
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of Leumi UK’s credit policy with an ability to identify and manage risks appropriately for new loans; together with all AML, operational, conduct, data protection, IT and other related risks;
  • Ability to interact with customers, colleagues and professionals using a multitude of communication and presentation methods;
  • Ability to apply negotiation skills to the role of origination and relationship management, influencing both internal and external stakeholders appropriately;
  • Provide support and guidance to Relationship Managers supporting their development and career progression.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • University degree and / or other relevant professional qualifications or experience gained from time working in the real estate finance market.
  • Proven experience in the real estate finance, ideally with a track record of originating and negotiating loan terms on new and existing loans.
  • Broad and deep knowledge of the UK real estate market.
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills with ability to interact and influence Executive level stakeholders.
  • Proven experience of an ability to work as part of a team with strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable track record of being a self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude.
