An introduction to LettUs Grow

LettUs Grow is a fast-paced and environmentally conscious organisation based in the heart of Bristol. We design technology for indoor and greenhouse farmers around the world with the mission to reduce the waste and carbon footprint of fresh produce through our innovative aeroponic growing systems.

We’re a certified B Corp, are Flexa certified and have won numerous awards for our company culture. We’re a mission driven company who takes the triple bottom line one step further: people, planet, profit and plants too.

With a team of open, caring and ambitious peers, working in a technically-challenging and impact-driven industry, this is somewhere to really make your mark on society and help feed the next generation.

An introduction to the role:

As Maintenance Lead at LettUs Grow, you will be a crucial member of our Delivery Team and you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our aeroponic equipment and research farms run smoothly. Your work will directly impact our customers\’ success and the development of pioneering agricultural research.

The position is full time and based in Bristol from our main office in Brislington as well as our Aeroponic Innovation Centre located in Coalpit Heath. It will require travel to our customer sites across the UK, so a full clean UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is a must (you will also have access to our company van, Misty!). The desire to engage in a customer facing role is also essential.

You can expect to be delegated responsibility at an early stage. This role is ideal for a hands on, organised and personable applicant who is keen to grow with an impact-led organisation. If you’ve ever worked as a field service engineer, in a workshop and/or you’re a hands-on individual with a knack for rapid on-site problem solving – we’d love to hear from you!

We look forward to welcoming you to our diverse team of horticulturists, growers, engineers, commercial and operations experts, to design and build the next generation of indoor farming technology together.

Salary band: £35,000 – £40,000 dependent upon experience alongside a benefits package designed to foster your personal and professional development.

Application deadline: Monday, April 21st, 2025

Role responsibilities:

  • Attend customer sites, often independently, to ensure customers’ aeroponic systems operate at peak performance, leveraging our expertise to help them exceed their growing targets and outperform competitors.
  • Maintain, improve, and optimise the equipment in LettUs Grow’s research farms, ensuring the Grow Team can maximise R&D outputs.
  • Oversee fault management, ensuring all field equipment issues are tracked, resolved, and clearly reported, providing essential fault data to support continuous improvement.
  • Assist with assembly and installation of our technology, supporting our delivery team to fulfill customer orders.

Who are you?

  • You’re ready to take on new challenges and adapt to a fast paced, ever changing start up environment.
  • You’re a practical, hands-on person who enjoys fixing things & finding solutions. You’re comfortable working in a dynamic, problem-solving environment.
  • You’re a team player who is excited to collaborate and contribute.
  • You’re an open, honest and helpful person. You treat people with respect.
  • You’re an active listener and enjoy working with people from all walks of life.
  • You’re passionate about sustainability, specifically our food system, and you care about the world around you.

What you need:

  • A full UK driving licence with access to a personal vehicle (in addition our company van, Misty).
  • Experience working with electrical systems such as wiring, troubleshooting, assembling and maintaining electrical components.
  • Experience working in an engineering workshop with a wide array of tools.
  • Experience in a customer facing role, this could be in anything from hospitality to business development.
  • A desire to be embedded in a small dynamic company. We are looking for someone who wants to be an integral part of our team & culture.

Also desirable:
