As the Social Media Intern, you will play a pivotal role in growing subscribers for one of our ventures, LettsSafari. At LettsSafari, we are building a digital subscription business to bring smaller-scale rewilding to the masses. We operate a network of rewilding safari parks across the UK, and subscriptions go towards tree planting, releasing and managing wild animals and creating new wild, bio-diverse habitats. Subscribers get a front row seat at our parks as well as hints and tips for rewilding at home. It is the power of collective action to restore nature and combat climate change. You will be engaging our target audience of passionate nature enthusiasts across Instagram, Facebook, Substack and LinkedIn with the aim of growing subscriptions. This internship offers a hands-on learning experience in digital marketing, providing valuable insights and practical skills to kickstart your career in this dynamic field.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies to increase brand awareness and drive engagement for LettsSafari.
- Create engaging content for our social media channels, including posts, stories, and multimedia assets.
- Monitor and analyse social media performance metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in social media marketing to optimise our strategies and tactics.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- A love of nature restoration or climate change would be preferential.
- Strong passion for social media and digital marketing, with a keen eye for creative storytelling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content tailored to specific audiences.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and SubStack.
- Some exposure to using modern content marketing tools (e.g., ChatGPT, LettsNews, Perplexity, Hootsuite, Hubspot, Google Analytics) would be useful.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
