We are looking for a Private Client Solicitor to join the Ripley office of a well-respected East Midlands practice serving clients for over 130 years.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage a varied caseload of private client matters, including Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection cases.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and external contacts.
  • Uphold and promote the firm’s positive image and reputation.
  • Support colleagues, Directors, and Heads of Department with marketing, training, and other initiatives.
  • Supervise and assist junior and support staff, including recruitment and training where required.
  • Use case management, billing, and financial systems effectively.
  • Work flexibly to complete tasks and undertake other duties as appropriate.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration across the firm.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR requirements.
  • Adhere to firm policies on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Health and Safety, and Anti-Money Laundering.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 5–10 years PQE in Private Client matters.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experienced in managing workloads, meeting deadlines, and achieving billing targets.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining professional relationships with clients and contacts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, methodical, accurate, and IT proficient.
  • Empathetic, client-focused, self-motivated, and proactive.
  • Good understanding of AML and GDPR requirements.
  • Alignment with the firm’s ethos and heritage.
  • Satisfactory DBS, credit, reference, and ID checks.
