About Us: Sort Legal is a specialist conveyancing firm committed to delivering exceptional client care. We are seeking a Client Inception Executive to join our team in South Shields serving as the first point of contact for new clients. This role is critical in ensuring a seamless and compliant onboarding process while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
Role Overview: As a Client Inception Executive you will manage the onboarding journey for new clients ensuring all AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Client) requirements are met. You will play a key role in providing a positive first impression and delivering a smooth start to each client’s conveyancing experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to clients addressing queries and concerns promptly.
- Manage client onboarding including initial risk assessments, AML and KYC compliance, and file preparation.
- Maintain and update client files in accordance with the firm’s policies before passing them to the legal team.
- Liaise with third-party agents resolving onboarding queries efficiently.
- Order necessary searches, ID documents, and office copies as part of the file opening process.
- Proactively update clients and third parties on the progress of onboarding.
- Provide analytical reports on client inception to the Group Directors.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Good general education including GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (grade 4/C or above).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Email.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a high workload and meet strict deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot potential issues early in the transaction process.
- A good understanding of AML and KYC regulations as well as the CLC Code of Conduct.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
