We’re looking for an organised and detail-focused Post Completion Assistant to join the Conveyancing team at Sort Group. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with administration or conveyancing support experience to join a fast-paced legal environment and play a key role in ensuring post-completion matters are handled efficiently and accurately.
Working closely with fee earners, lenders, clients, and HM Land Registry, you’ll support the smooth progression of completed conveyancing transactions while ensuring all registrations and post-completion requirements are completed within required timescales.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assisting with the day-to-day management of post-completion matters across a range of conveyancing transactions
- Preparing and submitting applications to HM Land Registry
- Assisting with SDLT submissions and related administrative tasks
- Reviewing and responding to routine Land Registry requisitions
- Liaising with fee earners, lenders, clients, management companies, and third parties
- Preparing and issuing notices, certificates, and post-completion documentation
- Maintaining accurate records on the Case Management System
- Ensuring files are updated regularly and progressed in line with internal SLAs
- Assisting with file closures and archiving procedures
- Escalating complex issues or requisitions where appropriate
- Supporting the wider Post Completion team with administrative duties as required
What we’re looking for:
- Previous administration experience within a legal or conveyancing environment preferred
- Previous Post Completion or Conveyancing support experience would be advantageous
- Good understanding of the conveyancing process and post-completion procedures
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional and confident telephone manner
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Case Management Systems
- Ability to work effectively within a busy, fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload efficiently
- Strong awareness of confidentiality and data protection requirements
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
Knowledge of HM Land Registry processes and requirements would also be beneficial.
