We are in search of a Civil Litigation Solicitor to join the firm providing a comprehensive range of legal services to individuals and businesses across the West Midlands and nationwide. The company is recognised for its progressive approach, strong growth strategy, and commitment to developing talented professionals in an environment where contribution and merit are rewarded.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing your own caseload of civil litigation matters;
- Handling disputes including commercial and residential landlord and tenant matters, building disputes, debt recovery, contract disputes, and general litigation;
- Taking client instructions and advising on funding options;
- Dealing with client queries by phone and in person;
- Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and third parties;
- Undertaking pre-action litigation;
- Drafting and preparing proceedings, pleadings, schedules of loss, witness statements, and other court documents;
- Preparing and advising on applications and related documentation;
- Contributing to business development and maintaining the firm’s high professional standards.
Requirements
What we’re looking for:
- UK-qualified Solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE;
- Strong experience in civil litigation;
- Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision;
- Good working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules;
- Strong drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills;
- Excellent client care, communication, and organisational skills;
- Advocacy and contentious probate experience would be an advantage.
