Holiday Club Play Leader

Overview

Let\’s Play are looking for individuals to deliver a variety of activities during Fun Weeks in school holidays at Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre, Leamington Spa. You will deliver sessions to a high standard, catering for all children aged 5 to 12 years of mixed ability.

The daily programme includes activities from our schedule with a focus on a positive impact on young children. Activities may include: Multi-Sports, Performing Arts/Dance, Swimming, Bouncy Castle/Soft Play, Team Games, Esports, Lazer Tag, Nerf Wars, Lego Building and Arts n Crafts.

Essential Requirements

• Has a keen interest and passion in working with and facilitating fun games for primary-aged children.
• Demonstrates willingness to develop their skills and coaching ability.
• Punctual, Reliable & Committed.
• Has experience in delivering activities to primary-aged children.
• Strong communication & organisational skills.
• Able to interact well with children, teachers, and parents.

Preferred Requirements

• Clean UK driver’s license.
• Experience in working in a childcare setting.
• Experience and/or willingness to deliver other activities during our Fun Week provision, such as: Arts n Crafts, Multi-Sports.
• Completed appropriate courses at Sixth Form, College or University.
• Level 2 (or above) Childcare qualification
• Level 1 (or above) Sports coaching qualification

Duties & Responsibilities for This Role

• Deliver sessions that are challenging, realistic & fun for primary-aged children.
• Create a positive learning environment for the children in our care.
• Deliver the coaching programme to a high standard consistently.
• Follow our coaching philosophy, ensuring everything we deliver is: Fun, Inclusive & Educational.
• Understand the individual needs of the children in our care and challenge/engage them appropriately.
• Deal with any first aid/emergency situation.
• Be approachable in liaising with parents/carers.
• Be committed to ensuring every session is delivered to the best of your ability.
• Be creative and passionate in your delivery.
